Elementor is a visual page builder with numerous features. It offers true ‘what you see is what you get’ editing capabilities and its page templates are fully mobile-responsive and SEO-friendly.

One feature that sets it apart is the page anchor widget, which enables you to quickly create an anchor link system and direct visitors directly to specific sections on your page.

Create a landing page

Create a landing page as a means of keeping visitors engaged with your site and helping them navigate to sections they find of interest quickly and efficiently. Furthermore, this increases user experience and boosts ad revenues.

To create a landing page on WordPress, first install and activate Elementor’s plugin. Next, use its Edit with Elementor tab to design your landing page using the Edit with Elementor layout feature; for an ideal landing page experience use Elementor Canvas layout, which hides header and footer elements for maximum focus on driving visitors towards an action.

To add a jump link to your landing page, select the section you wish to link. Next, drag and drop a Menu Anchor widget in its appropriate spot on your landing page, writing its ID field with its contents as required.

Add a link to the landing page

Anchor links can help your conversion rate by leading users directly to specific sections of your website with one click, encouraging visitors to take the action you wish for them.

To add anchor links to your landing page, first create a post that contains the portion of your webpage where you wish to place them. Next, edit this post with a suitable editor window open until an anchor link appears in its upper left corner of your editor window.

Once you have added an anchor link to your page, the next step should be inserting it into a call-to-action button connection such as text or image buttons. To do this, copy and paste your menu anchor ID using a # sign into the desired button connection.

Add a link to a post

WordPress hyperlinks provide a way for linking between internal pages or files in one website (internal) and files on another (external), for navigational purposes as well as improving search engine optimization (SEO). Therefore, knowing how to add a hyperlinked post is essential.

Elementor makes adding links simple. Just highlight the text you wish to link and click on the link icon located in your toolbar – this method also works great when adding them to titles, headers or body sections of pages.

To create a page jump link in WordPress Elementor, first select the heading you wish to anchor it against and highlight any text you wish to link directly from that heading before pressing on the button that looks like an arrow button. For additional convenience, check the box next to it if desired if opening the link in a new tab is desired.

Add a link to a page

If you have a long scrolling page, adding links to specific sections may make it easier for visitors to reach what they’re after quickly and increase user response to your website. Just be mindful when using these links – placing them incorrectly will lead to failure!

To add a link to a page, start by selecting the text that needs to become a link, and clicking “Link” from your toolbar. This will create an HTML anchor at its desired position; finally enter either an anchor name or ID of the target page to link.

To create a page menu anchor, insert it where you would normally insert hyperlinks or buttons and use the # symbol to link them with your call-to-action button connection. When users click a call-to-action button like ‘Learn More’ they will automatically be taken back to where you generated your anchor previously.
